Account Deletion FAQs
Last updated: 24 July 2026
1. How do I delete my account?
- Open the AstroChetna app and go to the You (Account) tab.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog.
You can also request deletion by emailing support@astrochetna.com from any address, mentioning the mobile number your account is registered with. We will verify ownership before processing the request.
2. What happens after I request deletion?
Your account is deactivated immediately: your profiles, kundli, and chat history stop being accessible in the app. The data then enters a 30-day grace window, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems.
3. Can I change my mind?
Yes — log back in within 30 days of your request and your account is restored. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and your data cannot be recovered.
4. What data is retained after deletion?
We permanently delete your profile, birth details and conversations. We retain only what applicable law requires us to keep — primarily payment and invoice records (kept per Indian tax and accounting rules) and minimal audit logs, which are no longer linked to a usable account.
5. Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
No. A UPI Autopay mandate is held by your UPI app, not by us. Before or after deleting your account, open the UPI app you paid with (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.), find AstroChetna under Autopay / Mandates, and cancel it there. Otherwise the monthly charge may continue.
6. How can I get a copy of my data?
Email support@astrochetna.com before deleting your account and we will provide an export of your profile details and chat history within 30 days.
